How We Started
CASCO was founded in September 1998 as an initiative through the shared vision between Alexandre St-Jean and Tuan Nguyen. They both wanted to show support, raise money, and honour their dearly departed friend Eric Danis, who passed away from Leukemia.
What Is CHEO?
CHEO, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, is a large health-care facility located in Ottawa, designed to provide medical care for infants, children, and teenagers up to 18 years of age. CHEO assists residents from Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec by providing a variety of important services. CASCO is proud to donate funds through the show to the CHEO Foundation, in order to further enhance the quality of care given to children at CHEO.
Our much anticipated soirée is one comprised of song, dance, and fashion. It succeeds in unifying students, business professionals, and community members with the common goal of providing support for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and promoting social responsibility among business students. CASCO is the training ground where commerce students can apply business knowledge to raise awareness and funds for charity causes, and see first-hand what difference their involvement in the community makes.
Over the past 17 years, CASCO has touched and inspired thousands of students to give back, and has raised over $500,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). This could not have been achieved without the support and generosity of our sponsors. You and your organization can make a difference by contributing to this great cause.
